UNION SQUARE — The Gander will offer a suckling pig for two as a special on Memorial Day. The pig, which comes with sides of barbecue beans, potato salad, cole slaw and lemon meringue pie, plus two cans of beer, is $80. It'll be served at dinner only, while the restaurant will replace lunch with its weekend brunch menu. [EaterWire]

BUSHWICK — 1 Knickerbocker, which is already offering discounts to couples whose wedding plans were derailed by reBar's sudden closure, is now planning to give one of those pairs a free wedding. Anyone affected by reBar's closing should email info@1knickerbocker.net with their contact info, desired wedding date, and "the story that makes your wedding situation unique." 1 Knickerbocker will give the winners space to host 100 people for the ceremony and reception, plus a limited open bar and a buffet dinner. The deadline is May 31. [GS]
