At 8 a.m. this morning, the Spotted Pig opened its first ever batch of dinner reservations, which Ken Friedman and April Bloomfield are offering for a limited time as a celebration of the restaurant's 10th anniversary. The crush of fans angling for a table on May 19 immediately crashed both the site and the restaurant's OpenTable listing, but now both are back up and running again.
The restaurant tweets that it will open up reservations for May 20 at the same time tomorrow morning, and presumably it will continue to release reservations one day at a time for the two weeks between May 19 and June 2. Ken Friedman previously told Eater that they may add another week or two if all goes well, and there will always be some seats and barstools set aside for walk-ins as well.
