A fire broke out in the kitchen of A Voce Columbus last evening. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the restaurant will be closed for two weeks for repairs. The dining room was not affected by the blaze, but it sounds like there was smoke and water damage in the kitchen. This is actually the second major disaster at the restaurant in six months — back in January, a sprinkler valve burst and flooded the dining room. No word yet on the exact reopening date, but a rep for the restaurant sends word: "We will do our best to accommodate current reservations at our sister restaurant A Voce Madison." That restaurant can be reached by phone at 212-545-8555.
