Paulaner Brauhaus Mysteriously Closes for Renovations

New, 10 comments

Here's an odd one: The massive Paulaner Brauhaus has suddenly closed. The management papered over the windows and tacked up a generic and oddly worded "coming soon" sign on the door. Bowery Boogie spots the closure and notes that the beer hall's Facebook page says that the space is closed "for refurbishments." It's very strange considering that the entire project was seemingly part of a global chain of Brauhaus beer halls, and the project went through a long and arduous process to open, which included the discovery of a historic old bar during construction. The bar also looked pretty great when it was finished.

There is no word yet on when the renovations will be finished, or what type of work is being done on the space.
