Tori Shin Moves to Former La Silhouette Space

A tipster sends in this picture of the old La Silhouette space on West 53rd Street, which now features a flier about a business application from the Tori Shin team. And indeed, DNAinfo confirms that the Michelin Starred yakitori restaurant is moving into the space.

An employee at Tori Shin tells Eater that the First Avenue original will close once the 53rd Street restaurant is up and running, so this is actually a relocation, not an expansion. If everything goes according to plan, the new Tori Shin will open in August with about 100 seats plus 18 in a garden space. No word yet on why the team is moving, or on what will happen to the current space at 1193 First Avenue.
