Daniel S. Meyer is stepping down from his post as Time Out New York's restaurant critic after this week. He replaced Jay Cheshes in the position less than a year ago. No word yet on the reason for his departure, or who (if anyone) the publication has lined up to replace him. In the meantime, check out the critic's final review, in which he bestows four stars on "vegetable sorcerer" John Fraser's Narcissa. He also, apparently, celebrated his departure by breakfasting with that other Daniel Meyer in the restaurant industry.

In other media shuffle news, TONY's food and drinks editor Mari Uyehara is also stepping down from her position. No word yet on where she's going or who will take over that job. Update: Uyehara sends word that she'll be joining the team at Saveur later this month.
