Txikifest Tickets Now On Sale; MaisonO Launches Lunch

CHELSEA · Tickets are now on sale for Txikito's annual Txakoli celebration, Txikifest. The event takes place on May 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the restaurant's back alley, and includes Txakoli tastings and bites from Co., Kuma Inn, Cucharamama, and others, as well Txikito's sibling restaurants La Vara and El Quinto Pino. Tickets are $50 per person, and all proceeds benefit Edible Schoolyard. [EaterWire]

NOLITA · MaisonO launches both lunch and outdoor seating today. The lunch menu includes dishes like the MaisonO burger with caramelized onions and fried sweet potatoes, and a shrimp tempura set, which comes with miso soup or tofu salad. The new sidewalk cafe has seating for 25, and is open for lunch, dinner and drinks. [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG · Nitehawk Cinema is showing Anchorman tomorrow, and pairing it with a four-course meal inspired by the movie. The dishes include beer and cheese churros and a chorizo, black bean, and salsa verde burrito, and are all paired with a beer from Green Flash Brewing Company. Tickets for the whole thing, which starts at 7:15, are $75, and can be bought online. [EaterWire]

FOOD TV · Check out the trailer for season 3 of PBS's Mind of a Chef, which this time around follows chefs Edward Lee of Louisville's 610 Magnolia and Magnus Nilsson of Faviken in Sweden. There's a lot going on in it, but a glimpse of some Canarsie storefronts indicates that Lee, at least, spends a little time in Brooklyn. [~EN~]
