Happy Hour at The Gander; Il Buco Alimentari Sells Slices

FLATIRON — The Gander launches happy hour tonight. From 5 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, glasses of wine and a couple of cocktails are $10, while bottles of beer are $5 and a can of PBR is $3. Snacks like Buffalo sweetbreads and brisket-stuffed tater tots are also all under $10. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE — Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria now offers pizza by the slice to go. The Roman-style pizza al taglio is $5 a slice, and the flavors vary regularly. Right now options include a classic margherita and a Sicilian anchovy slice. [EaterWire]

WILLIAMSBURG — Walter Foods is also launching a happy hour this week. This one runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and again from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. Draught beers are $4, glasses of wine are $5, and classic cocktails are $7, plus all bar snacks, including mini lobster rolls, deviled eggs, and chorizo pigs in a blanket are half off. EXPANSIONS — Blue Bottle Coffee is in the midst of an ambitious LA expansion. It just acquired both the subscription coffee service Tonx and LA's Handsome Coffee Roasters, and says it will use them to "expedite" retail plans in LA and to "improve our digital experience."
