FLATIRON — The Gander launches happy hour tonight. From 5 to 7 p.m. on weekdays, glasses of wine and a couple of cocktails are $10, while bottles of beer are $5 and a can of PBR is $3. Snacks like Buffalo sweetbreads and brisket-stuffed tater tots are also all under $10. [EaterWire]

EXPANSIONS — Blue Bottle Coffee is in the midst of an ambitious LA expansion. It just acquired both the subscription coffee service Tonx and LA's Handsome Coffee Roasters, and says it will use them to "expedite" retail plans in LA and to "improve our digital experience."
