Shuttered Dumont Receives Notice of Termination

A new sign on the window of Dumont indicates that the management fell behind on the rent and the landlord is forcing them out. Bedford + Bowery has a picture of this "Notice of Termination," which notes that the Dumont team is "hereby required to quit, vacate, and surrender possession of the premises within FIVE (5) days." The message is dated March 21.

Back in January, Kristina Greene, the wife of the late restaurateur Colin Devlin, told Eater that she hoped to reopen this spring. The message on the restaurant's website still reads: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dumont is closed for renovations in both the kitchen and garden. We expect to reopen in a short period of time." More details on the fate of Dumont as they become available.
