Former Squatters Worried About Potentially Noisy Bar

Here's something you don't see every day: The residents of a famous former squat house in Alphabet City think the neighborhood has too many bars and are very nervous about the impact that the soon to re-open Nublu will have on their block and quality of life. The building, known as the "C-Squat," was one of the most notorious squatters houses of the movement. But its inhabitants are now co-op owners, and now they're worried about the bro-ing of the area and the opening of Nublu.

Brett "Pants" Lebowitz explains that the residents of C-Squat listened to neighbors' problems with them and cleaned up their act. But he's worried about the drunk kids in a "megabar, two stories high ... who at closing time will pour onto our streets to fight and piss and make a mess." But Nublu owner Illhan Ersahin wants to remind everyone that Nublu has been around for more than a decade and that the team knows what it's doing and won't cause any issues. Hopefully they can work this out together.
