Spotted Pig's Wine Dinner; Momofuku Rumored For DC

WEST VILLAGE — The Spotted Pig is hosting a wine dinner with winemaker Tracy Brandt of California's Donkey & Goat Vineyard on April 15. The prix fixe meal includes spring dishes like arctic char with herb mayo and bacon-ramp vinaigrette and tea-smoked duck with roasted radishes, each of which will be paired with a wine. The meal is $120 per person, and reservations can be made by emailing events@thespottedpig.com. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE — The original outpost of the Meatball Shop on Stanton Street is launching weekend brunch on April 20. The menu includes things like "balls, biscuits and gravy" and "smashed bun french toast." The only other Meatball Shop location currently serving brunch is the one on the Upper East Side. PARK SLOPE — Pork Slope is putting a different grilled cheese on the menu every night for the month of April. Last night there was a chicken parm grilled cheese, and other possibilities include a nachos grilled cheese and a burnt ends brisket grilled cheese. [EaterWire]

RUMORMONGERING — A rumor was floated today that David Chang may be planning a Momofuku outpost for Washington, DC's incoming CityCenter. Chang's team, however, only says that it's only confirmed project at the moment is moving Ko to Extra Place. A director for the CityCenter project says that transactions are being finalized, and all the incoming restaurants will be announced within the month. [~Eater DC~]
