A writer for OC Weekly is claiming that Dominique Ansel's newest creation, the Waffogato, is "an incredibly blatant ripoff" of a dessert created by a few Orange County shops two years ago. That waffogato, however, involves a scoop of ice cream and a piece of waffle topped with espresso, while Ansel's confection is a waffle-shaped piece of ice cream topped with espresso. [OCW]
