Buttermilk Channel by Krieger

CARROLL GARDENS — Buttermilk Channel is hosting a dinner with Portland winemaker Kate Monroe of Division Winemaking Company next Wednesday. The five-course menu is $95 per person, and includes dishes like soft shell crab with asparagus remoulade, nettle pappardelle with artichokes, and pork with cheddar grits and ramps. Reservations must be made by calling 718-852-8490. [EaterWire]

RED HOOK — Fort Defiance is offering $3 Daiquiris and $4 Mai Tais tomorrow night at its weekly tiki night, just to spite the lime shortage. There will also be a number of other regularly priced tiki cocktails, and "Vietnamese shaking beef" with soba noodles. [EaterWire]

FOOD TV — FYI, a new TV channel from A+E Networks, has just ordered an hour-long pilot of a show called Say It To My Face hosted by The Meatball Shop owners Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow. The show will allow chefs and restaurateurs to "defend themselves before their toughest online critics," after which Holzman and Chernow will make over their restaurant. [~EN~]
