Here's a look inside Barchetta, the new Chelsea restaurant from Esca chef Dave Pasternack and LDV Hospitality's John Meadow. The Italian seafood restaurant opened last week in the space that once held La Promenade Des Anglais. The layout remains the same, but the space has a cleaner, airier look than before, with white walls, wood floors, and mid-century modern furniture.
Christian Goerner is the chef de cuisine and a partner here, while Pasternack remains chef at Esca. His menu includes fettuccine with lobster, peas, and sorrel, and lamb chops with fava beans and anchovy, as well as a long list of crudos and the option of a $30 crudo flight.
