McDonald to Open Bowery Meat Company This Summer

At last, the new steakhouse in the old Veselka Bowery space from Lure Fishbar's John McDonald and Josh Capon finally has a name: Bowery Meat Company. Here's a rendering of the awning with the title, which, as you see, is easily shortened to BMCo. Last fall, McDonald said that this new restaurant would have a "major red-meat selection" with "a big oyster bar and a few other twists." Peter Kane, of Beauty & Essex and Stanton Social, is also one of the partners at this new project. Meyer Davis Studio is designing the new place. McDonald says that he's shooting for a mid-summer opening for Bowery Meat Company.
