Greenhouse Raided by NYPD; Club Might Be Dunzo

New, 4 comments

Greenhouse was raided by the NYPD late Saturday night and received multiple violations for having too many people and playing the music too loud. The club was shut down for the rest of the weekend. This may be the final blow for the notorious club, which has been dealing with another spring full of violent incidents including the hookah beatdown of a promoter that may have involved two future NFL draft picks who the NYPD still wants to question.

The club's liquor license expires at the end of the month and no one has bothered to try and renew it, and it's not clear that they would even get it approved since a bevy of political heavyweights are on the record trying to get the club shut down. Greenhouse and its sister club W.I.P. have had years of issues with fights inside and outside the club, and maybe the management has just decided to throw in the towel. There is a signed posted to the door saying the club is "Closed For Renovations," but it's likely that it is closed for good.
