Franny's 10th Anniversary; Brooklyn Shake Shacks Update

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Franny's celebrates its 10th anniversary next Sunday. To mark the occasion, the team is putting some of the original 2004 dishes back on the menu from April 11 through 13. Those dishes include salt cod with chickpeas, a spicy cauliflower pizza, and a calzone with prosciutto, ricotta, and Pecorino Romano. There will also be Champagne and wine from the 2004 vintage, sold by the half or whole bottle. [EaterWire]

CHEF SHUFFLES — The '21' Club has just appointed a new executive chef. Sylvain Delpique, a vet of Artisinal and the David Burke Group, replaces John Greeley, who has been at the helm since 2006. [EaterWire]

PLYWOOD REPORT — A look at the progress on the two incoming Brooklyn Shake Shacks shows that construction is in high gear both in Dumbo and across from the Barclays Center. Back in the fall, the Shack team was aiming for a "late spring" opening for both, but it looks like construction still has a ways to go. [BP]

EXPANSIONS — Organic burger mini-chain Bareburger is planning its first Boston location. It's slated to start serving its burgers made of beef and various alternative meats (such as ostrich and elk) by summer. The chain is also looking to expand to Philadelphia, DC, Chicago, Santa Monica, Toronto, and Berlin. [~Eater Boston~]
