Popular online retailer Holey Donuts is planning to open its first low fat doughnut shop this summer. The owner, Frank Dilullo, hates throwing out the unsold doughnuts at the end of the evening so he won't be making any for display. He has chosen, instead, to keep his doughnuts warm in a humidity controlled machine where he can take out doughnuts individually for orders. And, strangely enough, Holey Donuts will only accept debit and credit cards. In his words, no cash "keep[s] things safer and cleaner." The shop is slated to open on 101 Seventh Avenue South this May. Whether it will be the next Cronut is yet to be determined.
