The wine drinkers of this city flocked to Eataly Vino last weekend to take advantage of the store's crazy 25 percent off deal. Here's a look at the scene on Sunday afternoon — the store was picked clean by that point.

Earlier this year, Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich, and their team faced charges of "interlocking interests" from the SLA. As part of their settlement with the state, they had to remove Lidia Bastianich from Eataly's liquor license, and shut down the wine shop for six months. Eataly's website now reads: "Eataly Vino will be closed this spring and summer, however, the restaurants at Eataly NYC are pleased to offer a similarly extensive selection of Italian and local wines by the glass or by the bottle, to enjoy on premises."
