After 16 years of working with Danny Meyer and Union Square Hospitality Group, chef Floyd Cardoz is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Cardoz has been at the helm of North End Grill since it opened two years ago, and before that, he was the chef at Tabla.
An announcement about his departure on the USHG homepage notes that the chef is going to "pursue personal culinary projects that focus back to his roots of cooking with Indian flavors." He also plans to work on his cookbook and "explore projects in India." No word yet on who will take over his position at North End Grill or when, exactly, Cardoz will leave, but it sounds like this will be a gradual transition.
