Charity Lunch at All'onda; Mayfield's Pig Roast Fundraiser

UNION SQUARE — All'onda is hosting a fundraiser this Sunday afternoon for both Heritage Radio Network and Rose Charities. There will be food from Porchetta's Sara Jenkins, Vinegar Hill House, Taquitoria and more along with dishes from All'onda's new lunch menu, plus a DJ and a raffle for prizes like Sushi Nakazawa reservations . Tickets are $60 online or $70 at the door. Raffle tickets are $10 each, and can be purchase even without attending the event. [EaterWire]

CROWN HEIGHTS — Mayfield is throwing a pig roast/taco party on May 4 to raise money for the MS Society (the restaurant's chef, Lev Gewirtzman, has MS). The event, which takes place right after this year's MS Walk, is $40 per person for unlimited food and beer, and all of the proceeds will be donated to the MS Society. BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Ample Hills Creamery's kiosk at Brooklyn Bridge Park opens for the season this Saturday. It will be open only on weekends until late May, serving a selection of beloved Ample Hills flavors like Breakfast Trash and Salted Crack Caramel. [EaterWire]

BOOK DEALS — Pok Pok chef Andy Ricker has just signed a deal to write two more cookbooks. The first, called Thai Drinking Food, will feature the kinds of snacks served at Whiskey Soda Lounge, and it will include "extensive travelogue-like essays".
