Gato, the most anticipated Spanish/Mediterranean Noho bar/brasserie from a celebrity chef of all time, is now in its soft opening mode. Last night, a host explained that the restaurant will have its grand opening on Monday, but that yes, Bobby Flay is now cooking some food and the bar is serving some drinks to the general public. "You could inquire with a host, and they might have some availability for you at the bar," the host explained. But as is the case with soft openings, don't expect the full menu or regular hours of operation. 90s MTV icon/Noho dweller Serena Altschul is already a fan. The official menu has not been released yet, but here's a snapshot of the soft opening menu:
