Tacombi Team to Open Cafe El Presidente Next Month

The owners of Tacombi and former Peels chef Jason DeBriere are opening a new Mexican restaurant at 30 West 24th St. called Cafe El Presidente. The restaurant will offer coffee in the morning, taqueria fare during the day, and an expanded menu with seafood dishes at night. If everything goes according to plan, Cafe El Presidente will also make all of its own tortillas. The team hopes to open in April. No word yet on whether the tacos will be regular sized, or shaped like baby fists.
