Daniel Humm and Will Guidara are hosting two separate benefits at Eleven Madison Park this month, and they are involving an all-star lineup of chefs in one of those. The first benefit dinner, on March 18, will raise money for MAD, René Redzepi's network of chefs and "culinary thinkers" built around the annual MAD Syposium. René Redzepi himself will be in the kitchen for that one, along with Momofuku emperor David Chang, Boston legend Barbara Lynch, Brazilian chef Alex Atala, and Daniel Humm. There will also be desserts from Momofuku Milk Bar queen Christina Tosi and EMP's Angela Pinkerton. Julie Reiner of Clover Club will help with the cocktail pairings, while Momofuku sommelier Jordan Salcito works on the wine pairings, and Padma Lakshmi and Lydia Fenet will co-host both a live and a silent auction. Tickets to that event are $1500, or $2000 for VIP access.
On March 24, Humm will cook a second dinner to benefit Gastromotiva, a Brazilian organization that provides youth with free professional kitchen training and job placement. Tickets to that event, which includes a five-course meal with wine pairings and a silent auction "offering experiences money can't buy," are $1050 and can be purchased online.
