Female Chefs

womenmag.jpgHere's a profile of one of the best chefs you may have never heard of. Barbara Lynch started her career working for Todd English, where she endured some serious "tough love" cooking lessons. After years of hard work Lynch built a multi-million dollar hospitality firm, so now she's the mentor. She encouraged her protegée, Kirsten Kish, into competing on Top Chef in order to dispel the stereotype of the cheery domestic portrayed on many cooking shows, and instead showcase the "tough, assertive women who actually run professional kitchens."
