Is Pies 'n' Thighs Headed to 43 Canal Street?

The April Community Board 3 agenda lists a new beer and wine license application for Pies N' Thighs at 43 Canal Street. Presumably, this is the team from Williamsburg's beloved, perpetually-packed fried chicken restaurant. Eater has reached out to the Pies crew for more details, but there's still no word yet on what they've got planned for the space. When asked about the new location, a Pies N Thighs employee told Bedford & Bowery: "That's going to be something that the owners would have to talk to you about." This would be a big win for the neighborhood.
