The meal, which serves six to 10 people, includes a slow-roasted pig, unlimited rice, and a choice of two vegetable sides for $45 per person. GENDER BIAS — Ryan Sutton discusses the lack of high-powered female chefs on WNYC today, noting that even the best explanations as to why are "speculative at best." In his account, April Bloomfield stands out as one of the exceptions to the rule, not only for being a female chef herself, but also for employing multiple women as head chefs in her restaurants and for offering her chefs maternity leave.
