CHELSEA — Del Posto is launching a series of Italian cooking classes next month. The series of 10 "Passport to Italian Cuisine" classes will take place on Saturday afternoons and cover topics like mozzarella, olive oil, and wine. Chef Matt Abdoo, pastry chef Brooks Headley, wine director Jeff Porter, and wine writer Ray Isle will lead the classes, and participants can sign up for just one or for all 10. The first class takes place on March 29 and tickets can be purchased online. [EaterWire]
BUSHWICK — Northeast Kingdom will be serving maple water in a number of forms this weekend. Maple water is the precursor to maple syrup, basically just the water tapped from maple trees before it gets boiled down. It will be served in dishes, in cocktails, and straight up. [EaterWire]
UPPER EAST SIDE — The East Pole has just started serving lunch. Dishes like the bacon cheeseburger and the macro plate are on the menu, plus some new lunch-only additions like falafel and a smoked salmon tartine. Check out the full menu below. [EaterWire]
'BUCKSWIRE —; Starbucks will soon start selling beer, wine, and bar bites like bacon-wrapped dates in the evening at thousands of stores across the country. It's been testing out the program, which it calls "Starbucks Evenings," in select cities since 2010, but will expand it nationwide over the next few years, focusing on "urban areas" like, presumably, New York.
