Stromboli Pizza on University Place Has Shuttered

Stromboli Pizza & Pasta, a 47-year-old University Place slice joint, closed recently. According to one EV Grieve reader and the majority of Yelp reviews, it was a real neighborhood spot that sold "pefectly solid, dependable," if unremarkable pizza. Its closure is one of several on the block in recent months, all to make way for the new residential complex going into the space the currently holds a parking garage and Bowlmor Lanes. Other casualties include a newsstand, which is moving across the street, and Bamboo Tori, which shuttered earlier this year.
