Restaurant Riki, a classic Japanese izakaya in Midtown, no longer allows tips of any kind. Owner Riki Hashizume explains that "usually we don't take tips in Japan," and has raised menu prices by about 15 percent in order to pay his staff a higher wage to compensate for the loss of tips. Riki joins the ranks of fellow Japanese restaurant Sushi Yasuda, as well as Per Se. [NYO]
