Labor Disputes

McDonaldssuit.jpgWorkers in several states, including New York, have filed suit against McDonald's, claiming that they were illegally underpaid in a variety of ways. Those suing in New York say that they were required to pay to clean their uniforms out of pocket, which according to their lawyer "drives many workers' wages below the legal minimum." The suits are part of a larger movement to raise fast food wages to $15 an hour. [NYT]
