The residents of 176/178 Ludlow St. have signed a petition against Sweet Chick, the fried chicken restaurant that plans to move into the old Max Fish space on the first floor. The Sweet Chick team will add an exhaust system through an enclosed air shaft, and apparently the owners already sealed a door that could be used as an emergency fire exit. Bowery Boogies notes that the case is "falling on deaf ears over at the DOB." [BB]
