Pop-Up Meal at Delilah's Steaks; Colonie's New Burger

GREENPOINT — On Monday, night, Greenpoint cheesesteak shop Delilah's Steaks will host a special dinner with Robert Flaherty, who is a part of the Romans team and also worked at the John Dory Oyster Bar. Flaherty will serve a six-course vegetable-based dinner "inspired by staff meal" for $40. Wine is included, and tickets are available online. [EaterWire]

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Colonie is adding a new house-butchered burger to the menu. The burger comes on a house made bun, and is topped with cheddar, bacon, beet ketchup, and a duck egg. It will be on the brunch menu, but also available in limited quantities as an off-menu dinner special. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN — The original Grand Central Oyster Bar reopens today, after closing at the beginning of the year for renovations. Those iconic vaulted tile ceilings have been restored to all their glory, and the lounge, counters, and kitchen have all gotten an update. The dining room proper was renovated over the summer. AWARDS SEASON — The James Beard Foundation has announced this year's inductees into its Who's Who of Food & Beverage in America, which honors ""renowned culinary professionals who have made a significant and unique contribution to the American food and beverage industry."
