Hot Kitchen, the reliably solid Second Avenue Sichuan restaurant with an expansive menu and some seriously spicy food is expanding to Midtown East. A tipster notes and the restaurant confirms that the second location will soon open in the space that once held Jamie's, and before that Wally Chin's short-lived Super Flop, Walle.
Employees at the East Village original say the new Hot Kitchen will open this Saturday. The failure of Walle before it should be of little concern for this Chinese restaurant, so long as it avoids any striking resemblances to Pixar movies.
