Jose Garces Signs on For Restaurant in Brookfield Place

Philadelphia hot shot Jose Garces is planning a new restaurant inside Brookfield Place, the monster dining and retail complex that's opening soon in the Financial District. In a statement released today, the Iron Chef winner explains: "It's long been a dream of mine to open a restaurant here and we found just the right home for it as part of this groundbreaking project in this exciting neighborhood." No word yet on what type of restaurant he will open, or what it will be called, but it sounds like this will be an all-day, sit-down affair. Garces's first New York restaurant will make its debut next year.
