A few weeks ago, chef Nick Curtin and restaurateur Ron Castellano opened the dining room of their restaurant Rosette, which sits on the border of Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Curtin, formerly of Acme and Compose, is serving a menu of New American fare that includes clam chowder croquettes, carrots with mushroom dashi, seared steak tartare, a burger topped with cloth-bound cheddar, roast chicken, and a parsnip "steak." Check out the space:
171 E Broadway, Lower East Side
