After an 10 year run on Rivington Street, Jason Denton and chef Eric Kleinman have decided to shutter their excellent Italian restaurant 'inoteca. The doors will close for good after service this Saturday. In a statement about the closing, Team 'inoteca notes:
After nearly 11 years, we at 'inoteca have decided to return the space to our landlord...We want to extend our most sincere thanks to all of our guests for their support over more than a decade on the corner of Rivington and Ludlow. We invite all friends past and present to come and help us drink our 1,300 bottles of amazing Italian wine by Sunday morning at 4 a.m.The restaurant will be offering discounts on wine throughout the week, and an additional 10 percent off for service and wine professionals. The building hit the market back in December. Denton recently closed his restaurants 'inoteca Liquori Bar, 'ino, and Betto, so after the shuttering of 'inoteca, his empire will be down to just Corsino, Indie Food & Wine, and his events company.
