Katz's Delicatessen, Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographer Daniel Krieger visits some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, Katz's.

[All photos by Daniel Krieger]

Last Thursday, photographer Daniel Krieger stopped by New York's oldest and most beloved delicatessen, Katz's, to capture the scene in the early evening. Third generation deli man Jake Dell now runs the 125-year-old institution. He was working the floor last Thursday. Take a look at the faces in the dining room and the action behind the counter on an average weeknight at Katz's.
