The New Egg, Now With More Space for Brunching

[All photos by Daniel Krieger]

Here's a look around the new, more spacious iteration of George Weld's beloved brunch spot Egg, which made the move from its original spot off Bedford Avenue this week. Weld has made the space that was once Parish Hall more Egg-like with the addition of new tables and chairs, plus a big communal table in the back made by a neighbor of the restaurant's farm upstate. The menus from chef Evan Hanczor remain largely the same, with duck hash and eggs Rothko for breakfast, fried chicken and hot ham and pimento cheese sandwiches for lunch. But soon, for the first time, the restaurant will also offer brunch cocktails and beers on tap. Check out the revamped space, below.
