Standard Snagged

2014_02_standardmepa.jpgHotelier Andre Balazs has orchestrated a deal to acquire the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District from his partners. This deal follows reports that the the hotel would fetch approximately $400 million in a sale, which would be close to a new record for a Manhattan hotel. This deal has Standard International, Andre's operating company, acquire the hotel from the owners, and means that all of the food and beverage options like the Boom Boom, Le Bain, and the beer garden will remain open for the foreseeable future.
