Dessert Omakase, The Breslin's Birthday Bash and More

When: Today and Tomorrow
Where: Spot Dessert Bar
What: Spot Dessert Bar is unveiling their new spring omakase menu this weekend. Iron Chef Ian Kittichai, who crafted the spring additions, will be on hand to present them to diners. Reservations are required and you can make one by calling (212) 677-5670.

When: Today and Tomorrow
Where: The Breslin
What: The Breslin is throwing a weekend-long fundraiser to benefit God's Love We Deliver, a charity that delivers meals to sick people who are unable to cook for themselves. Saturday is a day of wellness, complete with a yoga retreat and a Puja ceremony. Sunday is a dinner party and birthday celebration for the restaurant. Tickets are available for the whole weekend ($216), one day ($108) or just for the dance party ($50) that goes from 10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Sunday.

When: Today, 2 p.m. to 4p.m.
Where: 61 Local
What: A $20 donation to the Dashing Whippets Running Team will buy you all the home brewed beer you can drink . They will be pouring five different types of beer at 61 Local, including a spiced porter, a doppelback, and a rye farmhouse ale, all brewed by Dashing Whippets members.

When: Sunday Evening
Where: Sons of Essex
What: Sons of Essex is starting up a Sunday Supper deal this weekend. The dinner will be prix fixe, four courses for $29. Featured dishes include Caesar salad and papardelle with short rib bolognese. The deal also includes a free bottle of wine for every two diners.

When: Sunday, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Golden Cadillac
What: Mixologists Don Lee and John Deragon, formerly of PDT, will be reuniting behind the bar at the Golden Cadillac. They'll making throwback drinks, like bay breezes for $8. Booker and Dax's Dave Arnold will also be there talking about drink science. The earnings from this event will, appropriately, go to support the upcoming Museum of Food and Drink.
