Plow Sends Trash Can Flying Through Restaurant Window

At around 11 p.m. on Thursday night a snowplow hit a garbage can full of ice, launching it through a window at Exo Café. The plow operator, who attempted to flee the scene, said that he was unaware that he had hit the pail. The owner, Peter Kambitsis, tells PIX 11 News "[t]here's no excuse." Several people were hurt and two were hospitalized in the accident. And, to add insult to injury, the owner thinks his newest restaurant in Rockville Centre was also damaged by a snow plow coming off of Sunrise Highway.
