Mu Ramen, the noodle pop-up run by Per Se vet Joshua Smookler and his wife Heidy out of a Long Island City bagel shop, is moving to a permanent location. The Smooklers, who have garnered a dedicated following for their carefully crafted broth, tell DNAinfo that they're not ready to reveal the exact location yet, but that the new restaurant will be in LIC, "within blocks" of Bricktown Bagel, where they host their nightly dinners.
The new place will have a more extensive menu than the current selection of a few ramens, steam buns, and snacks, but no word on what that will entail. No word either on when the new restaurant will open, but Mu Ramen's website notes: "Until the new location is built and ready, our pop-up's hours will vary from week to week." Updates on the operating hours will be posted on the website, Facebook, and Twitter.
