Shannon Pot, Displaced by Development, Reopens in LIC

The original Shannon Pot by Krieger

Long Island City standby The Shannon Pot reopened recently, after it was displaced from its home of 14 years back in January. The original location was on a corner of the block of warehouses that was once home to the graffiti mecca 5Pointz, which will soon be razed to make way for two new residential towers. The well-like Irish pub, once the subject of "A Beer At," has now moved, sign and all, to 21-59 44th Drive, just a few blocks away. It's now up and running, business as usual. The neighboring gallery of street art, meanwhile, was not so lucky.
