Subway Inn Might Not Be Long for This World

The future does not look good for classic East Side dive Subway Inn. EV Grieve notes that The Real Deal lists the building that houses the 77-year-old bar among the recent purchases of the World-Wide Group development firm.

It should be noted that there are no plans to speak of for the building so far, so that iconic neon may be around for a while yet. But World-Wide's 59-story residential tower in the works nearby may give some indication of the sorts of projects that could be on the way.
