For anyone lucky enough to snag a coveted reservation or catch the orange go-ahead-light at Mu Ramen, there will be a new section on the menu starting late next week — booze. Up until now, diners had no choice but to eat their noodles sober, but co-owner and chef Joshua Smookler sends word that he's now this close to securing the restaurant's liquor license. Once he does, he will serve 18 Japanese beers, 60 sakes, and wine by the glass. Later on, when late night service starts, there will be a Japanese whiskey list. Meanwhile, lunch will launch sometime after the New Year.
