Recipe testing continues apace at Mission Chinese Food, which must be now just inches away from opening. Nearly every day there's some new toy in the kitchen, or some never-before-seen dish. Last night, it was this pan-fried dumpling pancake. And Danny Bowien was also experimenting with his wood-fired oven again, this time producing what appears to be a very large, very puffy naan-like bread:
Rumor has it that Bowien is aiming to open before Christmas, at which point all will be revealed.
