Jeremiah Tower's New Tavern Menu; Morgenstern's Holiday Desserts on Pre-Order

UPPER WEST SIDE — Jeremiah Tower, who came out of a 20 year retirement to try to save Tavern on the Green is debuting his lunch menu. There's gravlax with a chopped egg remoulade to start, several salads including a classic wedge sans bacon, and grilled chicken with something called "cowboy style" onions. BOWERY — Morgenstern's is now accepting holiday orders through December 22. There's a date caramel five-spice bread, parsnip cinnamon raisin bread, salted caramel custard pie with pretzel crust, and of course ice cream. A half a gallon comes in at a hefty $48.
