1) Saveur's Holiday Social
When: Tonight
Where: Astor Center
What: Saveur's holiday party is tonight and will feature lots of food, wine, and demonstrations from the likes of Hugh Acheson, George Mendes, Eli Sussman, and Brooks Headley. Tickets cost $79.


2) Get Black Seed Bagels 
When: Today and Tomorrow
Where: All Over
What: Black Seed bagels just got a whole lot easier to get. Stop by Murray's Cheese, the Brooklyn Kitchen, Concord Hill, Iris Cafe, Lure Fish Bar, B&B, or Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co to get your fix.


3) Speed Rack
When: Tomorrow Night
Where: Music Hall of Williamsburg
What: Check out Speed Rack, the all female competition to see which bartenders can make the best drinks in various timed challenges. More than twenty bartenders will go head to head in this event, the proceeds of which will go to breast cancer education. Tickets cost $20 in advance, and $25 at the door.


4) South Bronx Farmer & Holiday Market
When: Today, 11 a.m.
Where: The Bronx Museum of the Arts
What: Produce from local farmers will be on offer at this market, along with other artisanal foods like chutneys, herbed salts, and salsas.


5) Learn How to Make Soba
When: Tomorrow, 10 a.m.
Where: Resobox
What: Learn everything there is to know about soba at this class. Asako Nonaka will talk about the history of soba noodles, their health benefits and most importantly, show you how to make them from scratch. The class costs $40.
