No Kid Hungry

Breakfast in schools - already available to all children for free in New York City public schools - is a key step towards fighting hunger. But too few kids get breakfast because it's served before school starts. About 300 NYC schools offer the meal in the classroom, and the Powered by Breakfast NYC campaign wants to grow that number to all schools in the city.

More than 80 notable chefs -including Tom Colicchio, Bobby Flay, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Robert Irvine, Jonathan Waxman, Anita Lo, Floyd Cardoz, JJ Johnson and Christina Tosi-have signed the petition to urge Mayor de Blasio to make breakfast a part of the school day. Join the movement, and sign here to take action.
